We help families and individuals on low income living in our area of benefit with the cost of their electricity, gas and other essential items including school uniforms and school journeys (for children in Year 6).
We recognise that the area we fund can be an expensive place to live with high rents and mortgages, which leaves little money left to pay bills. Hampton Fund may be able to assist with a grant to help with fuel bills (gas and electric), essential household items and school uniform or school journeys.
In the past year we have awarded over 1,800 grants totalling £969,479 to local families, young people moving into their first home, single people, key workers and retired people.
To be eligible you must live in Hampton, Hampton Hill, Hampton Wick, Teddington, Twickenham or Whitton and be on a low income.
These are given once per year and Trustees meet to approve fuel grants every 2 months, in January, March, May, July, September and November. The deadline for the current grant period is Thursday 16th December 2021.
We can only make grant payments to the following suppliers:
If you would like to apply for a grant, please complete the application form and have your proof of income and energy supplier documents ready to upload. Screenshots, photographs or scanned documents are acceptable.
Children who are in Year 6 at junior school may be part-funded to enable them to participate in the school residential journey arranged before they transfer to secondary school. The parent(s)/carers are expected to pay half the cost of the journey. In cases where PGL covers part of the cost, the charity will top this up so that half of the journey cost is covered. The grants are paid directly to your child’s school and returned to the charity if for whatever reason your child is unable to attend.
This is a contribution towards your child’s first secondary school uniform. If you are eligible you may receive £100 voucher for your local school uniform supplier. If you do apply, you will be asked to upload a copy of the acceptance letter from your chosen Secondary School.
These grants are available to support additional activities or equipment that will benefit a child/young person who has multiple and complex needs. Please contact us on 0208 941 7866 for more information.
